Thanksgiving is almost here!  Which means in a few days we will put aside our ideological differences and come together to  debate more burning questions such as “Is it stuffing or dressing?,” “How lumpy is too lumpy for the mashed potatoes?,” “Is 14 too old for the kids table?,” and “Freshly made cranberry sauce or the congealed wiggly stuff from the can?

As many are prone to do at this magical time of the year, the team at Electrum took a moment to reflect on the things that fill our hearts with gratitude.

Clients
This is a given, right?  I mean without clients, we don’t have a sustainable business.  But while some clients enable us to pay the bills and keep the lights on, it’s the clients who treat us as their partners that fill our hearts with the warm and fuzzies.  These clients treat us like their in-house marketing department.  When they are successful, we are successful.  They bring us in at the first sign of a challenge or opportunity, respect our expert opinions, follow our strategies and provide the data needed to measure each project’s success.  It’s also these same clients who praise our efforts when we’ve gone the extra mile and are eager to refer our services to their peers.

Core Values
In 1620, the Pilgrims drafted the Mayflower Compact, a governing document that would establish rules and regulations in the new world.  In 2007, the Electrum team developed a set of six core values: Creativity, Integrity, Respect, Continuous Improvement, Positive Attitude, and Sense of Purpose – that still guide us each and every day.

Trusted Vendors
Although we do almost everything in-house, there are a few things we must outsource.  When we do, it’s comforting to know that we have a stable of proven vendors who uphold our service standards and ensure that the job is completed on time and on budget with no surprises.

Every Day Is Different
Almost every day, I enter the door to the office with a clear plan of what I will accomplish that morning.  Typically, by 10:43 a.m. that plan has all but been forgotten thanks to a myriad of reasons including, but not limited to, urgent requests from clients, a prospect’s invitation to meet, special media offers, topics trending on social media, an updated Google algorithm, or a pack of ill-tempered llamas roaming the parking lot.  Like I said, every day is different.

Our Team
Last, but certainly not least, we’re grateful for our Electrum team.  Like any small agency, we wear many hats.  But we do more than wear the hat.  Like Indiana Jones and his fedora, Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp and his bowler, or Abraham Lincoln and his stovepipe hat – we do it with style, grace, and confidence.

So from our family to yours…

Have a happy and warm Thanksgiving surrounded by those who fill your heart with love, your ears with laughter and your face with smiles.
